Step 1. Create a File Share:
Navigate to Azure portal and sign in.
Click on "Storage account." or search for Storage Account on the search bar.
On the Storage Account page, select "File shares" from the menu on the left, and add a new file share.
Fill in your details, write your name. Click review + create.
Step 2. Create a Virtual Machine (VM):
Click here to create a VM.
Configure the VM, ensuring connectivity to the file share.
Click on "show script" on the new window that pops up.
Open Power shell on the connected Virtual machine
Paste the copied script in the PowerShell app on the Virtual machine.
2. Upload a Text Document:
Access the created file share on your virtual machine.
Upload Text Document and remember the document's original state for restoration.
4. Snapshot the File Share:
In the Azure portal, go to the storage account, select "File shares," and snapshot the file share containing the modified document.
4. Modify Text Document:
Access the file share on the virtual machine, corrupt the text document, by make modifications for demonstration.
6. Restore to Original State:
Navigate to your file share storage on the virtual machine, right click and click on show more result.
Click restore previous version on the new pop up and restore the files..
7. Verify Document Restoration:
Confirm that the text document has been restored to its original state.
